I will never buy a Motorola phone again
I have an issue with my Moto Z Force phone. First the blue tooth became spotty, then it stopped working all together.
Next the WiFi became intermittent and now it will not work at all. I performed the factory resets and cleared the cashes, but no go. Finally I brought it back to the carrier. They did another factory reset and it still would not work properly.
I called Motorola and they stated that I needed to pay $150 to get it fixed and another $24 if I did not send in my phone and eventually get a replacement. Looking through the internet this is a known issue with this phone, but they will not stand behind their products.

After legal department received my letter, they offered, and I accepted, to send a new phone with an upgrade to the G5 model.
Seems like the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Moto reached out to me after the legal department received my letter.
They are sending a new phone, upgraded from G4 to G5.
It shouldn't have been that hard but I do appreciate Moto's recent effort to help. Thanks
Open the box when it arrives and pop the back cover to install my Verizon sim. Only 3 gold colored prongs in the slot. One prong is missing. Not bent, not broken but completely missing.
Try it anyway, of course no signal. Call moto customer service, return brand new unused phone, get a refurb phone as replacement. Not happy but I can live with it. Refurb has defective display...creates phantom characters just sitting on the table.
Hard reset, update, etc.. works fine for a few days then starts up again. 2nd phone goes back. Third phone arrives (another refurb).
Put sim in, no service?! Go to Verizon's bring your own device website to activate...imei # is invalid for Verizion. 1 1/2 hrs at verizon store, they tell me that this particular phone can't be used on their system. Imei is invalid for use.
5 more days with customer service... troubleshooting, IT research, escalation to tech support..nothing. We'll call you 24-48hrs and let you know if we can do anything. I've just about lost my *** I go out and take a chance and buy a locked Moto E for Verizon prepaid at Wallyworld for forty bucks so I can have a phone to use.
Put my postpaid sim in, everything works perfectly. Go figure. At this point I ask for a new phone (not refurb) since I sent them a brand new phone or my money back. "I can't do that but will give this to supervisor who can help you." Get a call the next day from another low level rep, asking me to start the whole process over....I comply.
Conversation ends with me asking for a new phone with "I can't do that but will give this to supervisor who can help you." Repeat 2 more days. Then get email questionnaire on customer service rating. Of course leave negative rating with explanation that I've been without a working phone for 7 weeks and have gotten 3 defective ones in a row. Get a email to please call.
I do. Entire troubleshooting process starts all over for the most recent phone that has a bad imei. "You have to speak with troubleshooting/tech support." Get a call from tech support, he agrees I've got a bad phone but...."I can't help you but will give this to supervisor who can help you." They'll call you within the hour. Of course, no phone call this evening.
WTF motorola? Ready to sue for breach of warranty in local court just to get my $200 back for the original phone. (The Magnuson Moss Warranty Act provides for this remedy after reasonable attempt to repair consumer item fails). Already sent notice of intent to file suit to corporate office.
I'll wait two weeks to see if they will try to make good. Otherwise, off to court.

Moto X4 had a line through the screen the first day out of the box. It's tactally way too slippery and can barely be put on a flat surface without moving or sliding on its own.
I have other issues with it, but I am Way too busy to process a return or mess around with lame gear. DO NOT BUY A MOTO X4.
